2022 Louisiana Brownfield Conference:
Fill Your Revitalization Toolbox
Terrebonne Parish Library – North Branch
4130 West Park Avenue, Gray, LA
The event is free, but registration is required as space is limited and so we can plan accordingly for lunch.
Does your community have abandoned buildings, old gas stations, junk yards or other potentially contaminated property that you would like to see redeveloped? Are you thinking about buying an abandoned property to help it reach its potential? Are you hesitant to move forward due to concerns over environmental liability and possible cleanup expenses? Redeveloping abandoned, idled, or underutilized real property (a.k.a. a Brownfield site) is both a challenge and an opportunity.
Join South Central Planning and Development Commission, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program (TAB) at Kansas State University, and the Louisiana Brownfields Association for a FREE 2-day workshop October 5-6, 2022, to fill up your toolbox with resources and information to put these sites back into productive use and help spur further economic and community revitalization.
Date & Time: Oct. 5 & 6, 2022
9:30 am: Check In & Networking
10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Conference Sessions
Thank you to the Louisiana Brownfields Association for providing lunch both days!
